ISLAMABAD: Information minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that politics of sit ins will be responsible for delay in eliminating energy crisis from the country.
Talking to news men in Lahore, he said the government is determined to fulfill its commitments and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has just signed important energy agreements with China.
He said over 10,000 MW electricity would be added in national grid upon completion of Pak-China Joint projects in next 3 years.
He said more than 50 industries will get new businesses through the projects signed between Pakistan and China, which will generate new job opportunities for local workforce.
To a question regarding terrorism, he said terrorists have no specific identity. He said all terrorists will be dealt with iron hands without any bias. Regarding appointment of new Chief Election Commissioner, he said all political parties had reached consensus on the name of Justice (Retd) Rana Bhagwan Das, but unfortunately he refused to accept the position.
About talks with PTI, the minister said government still wants to resolve issues through dialogue, however, it was Imran Khan who shut the doors.
He once again urged Imran khan to allow his dialogue committee to sit with the government on dialogue table. He said the government is standing with the victims’ of Kot Radha Kishan incident and those responsible for it will be brought to justice.
