Special Court adjourns hearing of treason case against Musharraf till 24th April


Islamabad: The Special court has adjourned hearing of high treason case against former president general retired Parvez Musharraf till 24th of this month.

According to media reports court said that the case will be heard on daily basis from the next hearing and no unnecessary delay will be carried out.

On Friday, the court will deliver its judgment on the petition filed by counsel of Parvez Musharraf, Farogh Naseem about the appointment of prosecutor.

Prosecutor Akram Sheikh submitted his written reply on the petitions seeking widening the scope of the treason trial to the abettors and aides of Parvez Musharraf.

In his written reply, the prosecutor said written evidences have only been found against Parvez Musharraf. He said the matter of abettors could be taken up at the time of submission of evidences. The counsel of Parvez Musharraf will submit his arguments on the next hearing.
