Trade: (FPCCI election environment bring polluted: UBG)

ISLAMABAD: The United Business Group (UBG) of FPCCI on Friday said the environment of the upcoming elections of apex chamber is being polluted by meddling of some politicians has raised concerns among non-political trading community.

A non-political institution should not be exposed to political interference who wants to mould to outcome of elections, it said in a statement here.

SVC of UBG Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, VP FPCCI Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Chairman UBG South Zone Khalid Tawab and Chairman Coordination FPCCI Malik Sohail said in a statement that the candidate of Businessmen Panel Haji Ghulam has lost elections of MPA, MNA and the Senate.

Now the disappointed politician wants to takeover FPCCI to extract benefits like he did in past which would not be allowed, they said.

The business leaders said that the presidential candidate of opposition is using some politician that include leaders of JUI-F which will damage the reputation of the party among businessmen.

Business community respects JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman who should not be dragged in the trade politics, they said, adding that the party is facing tough time in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for which Ghulam Ali should strive.

Malik Sohail said that rejected elements cannot doctor the outcome of elections as ninety percent business community is supporting UBG as they did during the last elections. Elections will expose the hollow claims of the band collected to plunder the federal chamber again, Malik Sohail added.
