Chairman Senate emphasizes increase Pak-Iran people to people contacts

Islamabad: Chairman Senate, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari on Wednesday emphasized increased people to people contacts and enhanced parliamentary linkages to promote multi-dimensional cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

The Chairman Senate, during a meeting with President of Iran Hassan Rouhani, said Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with Iran and desires to expand these ties in different fields for progress and prosperity of people of the two sides. Deputy Speaker, National Assembly, Murtaza Javed Abbasi was also present in the meeting.

Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari is leading Pakistan Parliamentary delegation to attend 9th Meeting of Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC)-Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tehran.

The Iranian President warmly welcomed Pakistani dignitaries and conveyed best regards to leadership in Pakistan, says a message received here.
