Denmark keen to promote trade, economic cooperation with Pakistan: Ambassador

Islamabad: Danish Ambassador in Islamabad Jesper M. Sorensen has said that his country is keen to promote trade and economic cooperation with Pakistan.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ he said it is for the first time that Denmark has set up a commercial section at its embassy in Islamabad to explore avenues of investment for Danish companies in Pakistan.

Pakistan at the moment is exporting about $169 million of goods‚ mainly textiles‚ and Information Technology services to Denmark‚ while Danish exports to Pakistan are worth $224 million‚ comprising special machinery‚ chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The Ambassador said his government wants to increase the trade volume between the two countries.
