Islamabad: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for paying a surprise visit to the home of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s residence at Bani Gala.
It is very encouraging that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif remained successful as he took PTI’s chief Imran Khan into confidence over upcoming moves of the federal government in the negotiation process with the militants, it said.
Agreement between both the leaders on establishment of a new negotiation committee and other modalities has triggered hope among the masses and the business community, said Vice President FPCCI Munawar Mughal while speaking to the business community at ICCI.
SVP ICCI Khalid Chaudhry and other business leaders were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Mughal said that that PM should also take other political leaders into confidence so that militancy can be brought to an end paving way for the national development as insurgency has taken toll on economy.
Munawar Mughal said business community feels that the government as well as PTI have started working in the right direction despite great difficulties.
We are positive that serious efforts for peace through dialogue would help achieve results as the government is bringing all stakeholders on the same page for peace.
The business leader called upon all the political parties to keeping aside all kinds of differences to strive for achieving peace without shedding a drop of blood.
PM’s efforts will result in sustainable peace which would have a direct positive impact on economy and the lives of whole Pakistani population, said Mughal.
