JUI-F Chief refuses to take part in dialogue process

Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman dissociated him or his party member from ongoing dialogue process between government and TTP. Addressing a press conference on Monday he said that JUI-F would not join the current dialogue process. He said that decision was taken unanimously by the JUI-F’s members.

“I pray for the success of peace talks but I am not hopeful that talks would succeed,” he added. The JUI-F chief said that his party was neither consulted nor informed about the government’s decision to initiate dialogue. Mufti Kifayatullah will not be part of the committee suggested by the TTP for negotiation with the government, he added.
