National Highways arranges road safety awareness cycle rally

Islamabad: National Highways and Pakistan Motorway Police North Zone arranged Road Safety and awareness Cycle Rally with the assistance of the Critical Mass volunteers groups.

The said rally was started from Motorway Toll Plaza and ended at DIG North office Motorway chowk 26 number Chungi Rawalpindi. More than 50 cyclists from different walks of life including 15 children and female cycle riders participated in the rally to sensitize the public regarding the importance of road safety.

The main theme of the said rally was to inculcate the importance of use of safety helmet while riding motorcycle and cycle. DIG North Muhammad Zubair Hashmi was the chief guest and lead the said event.

While talking to the participant, he added that road safety is a very noble cause and it is need of the hour to take this issue at top priority to save the precious lives of the road users. He stressed the public to wear safety helmet as it helps to saves valuable lives in case of accident. He further added that such like events are very helpful to sensitize and educate the road users regarding safety helmet.
