PIA to resume Glasgow-Lahore flights by this summer

Islamabad: A delegation of expatriate Pakistanis living in Glasgow led by Mr. Ameen Mirza, an eminent businessman met Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here Monday and discussed with him issues relating to expatriate Pakistani Community in United Kingdom.

Mr. Ameen Mirza requested the Prime Minister for resuming Pakistan International Airline’s flights between Glasgow and Lahore to facilitate the Pakistani community living there.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistani expatriates had played an important role in economic development of the country.

The Prime Minister said that the government was committed to facilitate Pakistani community and directed the management of Pakistan International Airlines to resume the flights from Glasgow to Lahore by this summer.

Mr. Ameen Mirza thanked the Prime Minister for acceding to a long standing demand of Pakistani community in Glasgow.
