Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has assured Turkish business community full support and maximum facilitation for investment in Pakistan.
He was talking to heads of leading Turkish business groups in Istanbul on Friday. The prime minister briefed the Turkish businessmen on economy and investment-friendly environment in Pakistan.
He said that government plans to raise the GDP growth rate to over six per cent‚ and bring more foreign investment in the energy‚ infrastructure‚ low cost housing‚ municipal services‚ agro-based industry‚ information technology and textiles.
The Koc group showed keen interest to invest in electrical appliances manufacturing‚ dairy development‚ and bus manufacturing.
In his meeting with Limak group‚ Nawaz Sharif said Turkish companies will be given all possible help for setting up power plants. NOROL group expressed interest for investment in Dasu Hydropower Project‚ Lahore-Karachi Motorway and coal-based and hydropower projects in Pakistan.
