Islamabad: “Year of the Horse 2014 will see a strong impetus in Pakistan-China relations since characteristics of Horse demonstrate speed, stamina and strength, which are today the qualities reflecting our two strategic bond.”
This was stated by Chairman Pakistan China Institute, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed while extending his greetings to Chinese people and leadership on China’s Lunar New Year, being celebrated as a week-long traditional Chinese Spring Festival started on Friday.
Senator Mushahid, while terming the Spring Festival as Asia’s one of the most ancient, largest, cultural and traditional festivals, said in this year of Horse, China will gain more achievements in economic, diplomatic and science & technology rapidly and hoped to strengthen communication with people of Pakistan and China adding that Pakistan-China Institute will continue playing role of bridging the people, think tanks and promoting academia exchanges between both countries to further strengthen the all-weather friendship.
Spring Festival or China’s Lunar New Year is the most important Chinese traditional holiday, highlighting family reunions and renewal of seasons. During this Spring Festival most Chinese travel to their home towns to spend time with their relatives for the occasion.
“Good fortune, good health, good luck, peace and happiness for the People of China, the world’s second biggest economy and vital player of global affairs”. The chairman said.
