Karachi to be purged from illegal weapons: Sharjeel

Karachi: Sindh Minister for information Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Karachi will be made free from illegal weapons at all costs. This he said in a statement issued here on Sunday. He said that the Government has decided to Computerized all the arm licenses and added that the process regarding the registration of arm licenses will start from 1st October till 31st December 2013 with the help of NADRA.

He said that the counters of NADRA have been established in the offices of Deputy Commissioners in all districts for this purpose. He added that after 31st December, the old licenses would be cancelled. He said all these decisions had been taken by Sindh cabinet. Minister appealed to the people of Sindh to cooperate with the Sindh Government in this drive and get computerized their arm licenses so that peace could be maintained in the province.
