KARACHI: At least 159 more dengue fever cases have been detected across the Sindh province in a week, out of which 157 were reported from Karachi city alone.
According to a weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention & Control Program Sindh, a total of 3055 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province since 1st January 2015, out of which 2986 were detected from Karachi city. Eight people died from dengue fever in the city this year so far.
Report stated that 159 dengue fever cases emerged across the province from 02 November to 08 November 2015, out of which 157 were reported from Karachi and two from Hyderabad.
The report further stated out of total 3055 dengue fever cases, 2986 were reported from Karachi, 28 from Hyderabad, nine from Larkana, eight from Mirpurkhas, seven from Umerkot, four from Shaheed Benazirabad, three each from Thatta, Sukkur and Ghotki, two from Sanghar, one each from Shikarpur and Jaccobabad.
