3 alleged kidnappers killed; abductee recovered in police raid


KARACHI: Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh and Malir police on Saturday claimed to have safely recovered a kidnapped doctor and killed three alleged kidnappers during a targeted raid on link road area in Steel Town of the city.

Police said that on a tip-off, Malir police along with CID police conducted a targeted raid on link road area in Steel Town, and recovered abducted Dr Mansoor. He was kidnapped 22 days back from Gulshan-e-Hadeed phase-II, said police.

Police said that accused opened fire on police, and in retaliatory firing by police, three alleged banned outfit outlaws Ahmedullah alias Qari, son of Aqal Khan; Fazal Rehman alias Bismillah Jan, son of Eid Mohammad, and Mir Badshah alias Subaidar, son of Gul Hijan, were killed.

One shotgun, pistols and hand grenades were also recovered from their possession. Further investigation was underway.
