KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) health department has started installation of 35 dialysis machines in its three hospitals and will complete this work till 30 June 2015, sources at KMC told PPI on Monday.
They said KMC administration had started fixing of 35 new dialysis machines in three hospitals – Sarfaraz Rafiqui Shaheed Hospital, Landhi Medical Complex and Kidney Center – and the process will be completed till 30th June 2015. They said kidney patients will get free of cost treatment facilities with completion of machines in new future.
Sources said kidney department and dialysis machines in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital will also be upgraded soon in order to provide maximum health facilities to citizens in their nearby healthcares. They informed that Administrator Karachi Saqib Soomro was supervising the dialysis installation procedure and other ongoing development projects.
Senior Director Health & Medical Services Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Dr Salma Kausar when contacted said scheme was underway and news of installation of dialysis machines will be released for media soon.
