36 cases under PPO being probed, delegation told


Karachi: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has emphasized upon the public servants to ensure coordinated efforts in performing their duties adequately and devotedly.

He expressed these views, while addressing the Sindh visiting officers of SMC (Senior Management Course) of NIM (National Institute of Management) Lahore, in Sindh Secretariat, on Monday. Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development Muhammad Waseem, Secretary Home N.A. Abbasi, Secretary transport M. Taha Farooqui, Administrator KMC Rauf Akhtar Farooqui and Chief Instructor NIM Seema Najeeb Siddiqui were also present.

ACS P&D, and Secretary Home briefed the participants about the law & order situation and Development projects in Sindh.

Administrator KMC and Project Director K-IV Misbahuddin Fareed elaborated the progress of relevant projects. It was informed that the Rapid Response Force with 800 personnel is being developed in the province, while the law is being formulated for action against the police officials, involved in criminal activities, as well 36 cases registered under PPO are under investigation. The participants were also told that the cases of extortion, kidnapping for ransom, bomb blasts and other crimes are decreasing.

The souvenirs were exchanged. Ms. Seema thanked the Sindh Administration on an informative briefing to the officer of SMC on Sindh Study Tour.
