KARACHI: Thirty nine people were injured in separate traffic accidents in different parts of the city on Sunday. A fast-moving bus overturned at NIPA Chowrangi late night of Saturday as a result four passengers were injured. The bus was carrying picnickers. The injured were shifted to nearby private hospital for treatment.
In another incident, eight people were wounded in a road accident in Ghagar Phatak area of the city. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.
A 60-year-old woman, Maqsooda, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit him while crossing the road on Surjani Road near Nagan Chowrangi. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
A minor girl, Navia, aged two, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit her in Muaripur. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
Separately, 25 people were injured when a speeding bus turned turtle on Ghawadar Road in industrial area of Hub near Karachi. Several vehicles also collided with the bus which met the accident.
The injured, including women and children, most of them with broken arms and legs, were shifted to civil hospitals of Hub and Karachi for treatment.
