KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
According to a release issued from WAPDA House Lahore on Thursday, Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 352300 cusecs and Outflows 323100 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 101600 cusecs and Outflows 101600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 62000 cusecs and Outflows 60000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 98300 cusecs and Outflows 69900 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 432000 cusecs and Outflows 424400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 500200 cusecs and Outflows 498000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 531600 cusecs and Outflows 531600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 136100 cusecs and Outflows 132100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 524600 cusecs and Outflows 519800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 538600 cusecs and Outflows 523300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 190400 cusecs and Outflows 188900 cusecs.
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1543 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 6.033 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1236.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.949 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
