65000 liters Iranian smuggled diesel seized

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) officials seized 65000 liters Iranian diesel being smuggled through RCD Highway. On credible information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of diesel, special mobile team was detailed for snap checking at RCD Highway near Uthal, Balochistan. During spot checking some suspicious trucks were signaled for stopping but they did not stop and tried to speed away. The trucks were chased by PCG mobile team but after covering some distance the smugglers parked the oil tankers on RCD Highway and ran away from the scene.

The oil tanker trucks contained 65000 liters Iranian diesel. The said tankers were coming from Turbat to Karachi. The tankers along with Iranian diesel have been taken under custody. The value of Iranian diesel and oil tankers in market is estimated to be very high.
