KARACHI: Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan has sent a truck loaded of relief goods to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan under the supervision of former Karachi mayor Naimatullah Khan.
The relief goods comprised tents, water coolers, dates, soaps, carpets, water-cans and other things of basic necessities. They would be distributed among the IDPs by Al Khidmat volunteers.
Khan said that the more than 0.4 million the IDPs of North Waziristan were going through serious difficulties.
“Al Khidmat is doing its best under its resources. Hundreds of Al Khidmat workers are busy in helping the IDPs,” he said.
He said that Al Khidmat had started working from the first phase of the migration of the affectees.
“The difficulties of the affectees have increased in the holy Ramazan. They have been facing the problems of food, medicines and cash,” Khan said.
He said that more goods would be sent to the IDPs. He also appealed from the philanthropists to cooperate with Al Khidmat to help IDPs.
