KARACHI: Tharparkar is the poorest area of our country where people faced issues of clean water, health and employment, therefore, Al Khidmat Foundation is playing its role in Tharparkar to resolve the issues, said Assistant Secretary Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan Ejaz Ullah Khan on Wednesday.
“Work has been started on the water filtration plants that would be set up in Islamkot and Nangarparkar,” he said while visiting Islamkot, Mithi and different locations. Rashid Qureshi, Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Abdus Subhan Samejo and Atif Shabbir were also accompanied with him.
Ejaz Ullah Khan said it was their mission to provide potable water to Tharparkar. Another important issue of Tharparkar was lack of employment. A project was being run in Thar to provide interest-free loans on merit basis, which would enable jobless persons to support their families. The loan would be returned on easy instalments.
He said mothers and children in Thar had to face trouble due to food shortage, hence a nutrition program would be started for mothers and children very soon.
They also visited Al Khidmat Hospital being built in Mithi and inspected the construction work.
Qazi Sadruddin said the hospital would be equipped with modern facilities where Tharis would get the best medical facilities.
