The 11-month baby girl Mahnoor was tortured to death allegedly by her real father. The suspect Amir had allegedly started beating his wife and daughter when he did not find soap in the bathroom.

The police produced the suspect before the judicial magistrate West and requested the court to grant his physical remand as he is required for investigation.

The accused while retracting from his earlier confessional statement, said that he did not murder his baby girl, he found Mahnoor dead when he returned home. The judge while accepting the police’s request remanded Amir to them on three-day physical remand.

The case FIR 620/15 was registered at Surjani police station under section 302(premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The incident came to light a couple of days ago when the body of a minor girl was found from a house in Sector 4B, Surjani town.
