KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court-I (ATC-I) on Wednesday remanded alleged Lyari gangster Gulla Khan to police custody till 2 April 2014 in police encounter case. The suspect, Gulla, was produced before ATC-I judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court for more time to conduct further interrogations.
According to the police, the suspect was arrested during a police encounter in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on 18 March.
Police claimed to recover two hand grenades, one Kalashnikov and other illegal weapons from his possession.
The case FIR No (163/2014) was registered under Sections 353, 324 (attempt murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-terrorism Act (ATA) 1997 at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station.
