Alternative route at Malir Halt opened


KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has completed and activated the alternative route for commuters at Malir Halt flyover site in the given time with the cooperation of relevant departments.

Commuters had to face difficulty due to dust and traffic jam because of non-completion of alternative route at the site of under-construction Malir Halt flyover.

It was told in a reviewing meeting held at commissioner Karachi office regarding speed of construction work on the projects of Malir 15 and Malir Halt flyovers.

In a last meeting, the relevant departments were given a deadline of May 30th for completion of the alternative route and with the keen interest of the departments the target has been achieved. The alternative route has been opened for the citizens now, the meeting was told.

It was also told in the meeting that, the issue of sewerage water at the site of Malir 15 flyover has also been resolved.

Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui had presided the meeting, while, Additional Commissioner Karachi I Muhammed Aslam Khoso, Director General Technical Services KMC Niaz Soomro, Chief Implementation Unit Commissioner Office Syed Muhammed Shakib, DSP Shahra-e-Faisal Faiz Ali Shigri, Project Manager KMC Abdul Rehan Sheikh, Project Director Malir Halt Khalid Masroor and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
