KARACHI: Vice Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) and Former President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Anjum Nisar has been appointed as Member of the Board of Directors (BoD) of Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA).
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Industries & Production, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved the composition of EPZA’s Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Anjum Nisar has served as board member Port Qasim Authority (PQA) and as member of Businesspersons Council of Finance Division, Government of Pakistan. He has also represented KCCI as Member in various public sector bodies including the Advisory Committee of Ministry of Commerce, Advisory Committee of Ministry of Finance, Export Development Fund (EDF) – Ministry of Commerce, Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, Karachi Water & Sewerage Board and Karachi Centre for Dispute Resolution etc.
While recounting the outstanding contribution made by Anjum Nisar towards serving the business community, Chairman Businessmen Group & Former President KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen BMG, Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala & Haroon Farooki, President KCCI, Abdullah Zaki, Senior Vice President KCCI, Muffasar A. Malik, Vice President KCCI, Muhammad Idrees and members of the Managing Committee felicitated Anjum Nisar on his appointment in the Board of Directors of EPZA.
They anticipated that Anjum Nisar, former President KCCI holds a dynamic personality with an insight in the economic and trade affairs of Pakistan and he will extend his best productive input to streamline the affairs of Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA).
