Anjuman management issues reviewed


KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that the internal management problems of the Anjuman Taraqqi-i-Urdu Pakistan, working for the promotion of national language, were a cause for concern.

Siddiqui said this while addressing a meeting to review the management issues. Dr Fatima Hassan, Dr Jawed Manzar and others were also present.

He said that the organization, whose foundation stone was laid by Baba-e-Urdu Molvi Abdul Haq and other noble personalities brought it up, would not be let ruined.

The commissioner said that the internal management skirmishes were not only hindrance to the progress of the Anjuman but to the promotion of Urdu language also, therefore, that kind of act would not be permitted.

“In the interest of the Anjuman, to avoid hindrance it is necessary that the present president, Aftab Ahmed Khan, be the president unless an alternative is arranged according to the rules,” he said.

Siddiqui directed all the workers of the organization to perform their duties for the prosperity of the organization and the language.
