KARACHI: On the directive of Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhter Farooqui, Anti-encroachments Task Force of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) carried out operation in Baldia Town Sector No 9 on Thursday.
The anti-encroachments squad added all the goods of illegal shops, pushcarts, patharas and concrete and semi-concrete thallas into their store with the help of heavy machinery under the supervision of Senior Director Land and Anti-encroachments Task Force Bilal Manzar.
Director Anti-encroachments Mazhar Khan, Additional Director Muhammad Shakir, Deputy Director Muhammad Javed and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Member of National Assembly Mujahid Baloch encouraged and appreciated the work of anti-encroachments squad and said that encroachments within city would not be tolerated at any cost and wherever encroachments would be established the squad would remove that.
It should be clear that like other areas the citizens of Baldia Town also had to face difficulties. Therefore, action has been taken here, because, this caused hurdles in flow of traffic and pedestrians, school-goers and other customers and shopkeepers had to face trouble also.
Manzar said that operation would be continued against encroachments without entertaining any distracting pressure.
