ATC extends Mirza’s bail till May 30

Karachi: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday extended the pre-arrest bail of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza until 30th May in three cases.

All the entry and exit points of ATC were cordoned off and heavy contingents of police were deployed at the routes leading to ATC during Mirza’s hearing in the court.

Dr Mirza has been charged with damaging a police station, forcing closure of shops and looting money from two shops during protests in Badin. There is a charge against Dr Mirza and his associates of attacking a police station in Badin, attempted murder and closing shops forcibly.

This controversy started on May 3 when Dr Mirza arrived at Badin police station when he allegedly hustled security personnel for trying to arrest and registering an FIR against his supporter.
