KARACHI: Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) on Thursday extended the remand of a suspect to police custody till 9th April 2014 in a murder case. Police brought accused Jibran before ATC-II judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court for more time to conduct further interrogations. The courts directed to IO submit the progressive report on next hearing.
According to the prosecution, the accused was involved in killing head constable Mohammad Amir and constable Sher Mohammad in Metroville are on 8th October 2013. He was arrested during a raid conducted by police within limits of Site A police station. Police claimed that many other FIRs had been registered against the accused in different police stations. A case FIR (758/2014) was registered against suspects at the Site A police station under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section-7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
