ATC sends accused in murder case to judicial remand


KARACHI: Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) remanded an alleged member of banned outfit, Mohammad Wahid to prison on judicial remand till 7th April 2014 in murder case here on Monday.

Police had detained the accused from the remits of Peerabad police station on 22nd February 2014 during a raid conducted and one 9mm pistol was recovered from his possession.

Following the expiry of his physical remand the police produced the suspects before ATC-II judge amid security. The court sent the suspect to prison on judicial remand till April 7 and directed the investigation officer to submit a progress report on next hearing.

According to the prosecution, Ali Yar Khan was killed by accused Wahid in Frontier Colony on 23rd February 2014, while Ahmed Ishaq, Mohammad Shah and Attaullah were injured in firing.

A case FIR No (82/2014) was registered at the Peerabad police station under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempt murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section-7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
