Balochistan registers third consecutive victory in Disabled Cricket tourney

Karachi: Balochistan registered third victory on the trot in Shama Disabled T-20 Pentangular Cup 2016 after thrashing defending champions Punjab by seven wickets here at RLCA Ground in Gulberg.

Punjab Disabled cricket team batted first in the match and put on board a competitive total of 153-4 in 20 overs. Ashfaq Shakir batted well for the side, playing an unbeaten 85-run knock off 63 balls. Abdullah Khan bowled well for Balochistan capturing three wickets for 24 runs.

In response, Balochistan reached the victory total in 16.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Saifullah (60 off 37 balls) and Jahanzaib Tiwana (60 off 40 balls) put 127 runs on board for the second wicket partnership and helped the team record an impressive victory.

In another match of the tournament, also played at RLCA, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa defeated FATA by 22 runs. Nihaar Alam put an impressive al-round performance for the winners in the match – first scoring 60 runs and later capturing three wickets. Gohar Ali also bowled well for the winning side by taking three wickets.
