Karachi: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and Pakistan Resuscitation Counsel (PRC) Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Headquarters CAA, Karachi. Air Vice Marshal Khawar Hussain, Deputy Director General PCAA and Dr. Mabroor A. Bhatti, Chairman PRC signed the MoU.
The purpose of this MoU is to determine the roles and responsibilities of both parties with regard to provision of training by PRC to Paramedical Staff, Medical Officers and general employees of PCAA on different topics / areas selected by CAA relating to medical health / medical care and general awareness of employees by CAA where PRC has proven expertise.
The areas where training shall be arranged / provided by PRC to CAA employees are Heart Saver First Aid with CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automatic External Defibrillator AED for Non Health Care Providers, Heart Saver First Aid, Instructor Course including Core Instructor Course, Basic Life Support provider Course for Healthcare professional, Basic Life Support Instructor Training including Core instructor course, Primary Trauma Management, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support provider Course, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Saving Instructor Training including Core instructor course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Training including Core instructor course, Crash call program development, Fire injuries support & basic treatment and Awareness sessions for CAA employees on selected topics as identified by CAA, for health care and disease prevention.
As per MoU, in future, PRC shall provide CAA staff and officers in medical services with opportunities to serve at different training sites (according to feasibility of that training site) to have practical exposure to the real life trauma and emergency treatment, on the terms and conditions agreed by both the parties.
This MOU shall be initially valid for one year from the date of signing the MoU and may be renewed subsequently by mutual consent of both the parties.
