KARACHI:,,, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui said on Tuesday that carpeting work on Teen Hatti flyover would start within few days after completion of filling.
Farooqui said that efforts were being carried out to finish the project before the scheduled time of June 2014. Problems being faced by traffic around the construction site of flyovers in Malir should also be addressed.
He said this while addressing a meeting which was attended by Director General Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro and other officers. Various ongoing development projects in the city were reviewed in detail during the meeting and the progress report was submitted.
The administrator directed officers to complete the remaining works of Teen Hatti flyover as soon as possible so that with its completion, Shara-e-Pakistan could be announced a signal free corridor. “Officers should refrain from any negligence or carelessness as completion of the project would provide considerable convenience to traffic on Shara-e-Pakistan,” he said.
He also directed that special attention must be given to the maintenance of traffic flow around the construction sites, particularly around the sites of Malir 15 and Malir Halt Flyovers.
