Charged parking at 20 locations of old city


Karachi: In order to solve traffic problems and to facilitate traders and commuters in old city area and M A Jinnah Road, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) with the collaboration with Karachi Administration has started charged parking at 20 locations.

This is in accordance with the decision taken in the meeting held on 12th July 2014 under the chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi and duly approved by the Competent Authority of KMC.

These locations include Hasrat Mohani Road, Talpur Road, Mumtaz Hassan Road, Old Queens Road, Wallace Road, Capt Rafiqui Shaheed Road, Dunooly Road, M A Jinnah Road (from Jamia Cloth Market to Tower), Aram Bagh Road, Altaf Hussain Road, New Neham Road, Aiwan-e-Tijarat Road, Beaumont Road, P.I.D.C, State Life Building Road P.I.D.C, Shahrah-e-Iraq(from Passport Office to Paradise Hotel and return), Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road (Spencer Building/ Schon Centre to National Museum), S.M. Law College Road, Muhammad Bin Qasim Road, Sindh Secretariat Roundabout and Campbell Street.

The general public as well as vehicle owners have been requested to cooperate with KMC officials in recovery of charged parking fee and developing traffic discipline.
