KARACHI: Justice Ashraf Jahan has said that children are assets of the nation and its responsibility of entire society to treat the children who have been suffering from fatal diseases.
She said this on Saturday while addressing a gift distribution ceremony among children with life threatening medical conditions at a local hotel. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Ishtiaq Baig, S M Muneer, Zaiba Bakhtiar and others were also present.
Justice Jahan said that ‘Make a wish foundation’ is an international organization and 60 countries are affiliated with it, but Pakistan is the top country that contributes more efficiently to fulfil the wishes of children with life threatening diseases.
On the occasion, 18 gifts were distributed among children, which included colour television, doll house, bicycle and remote controlled car toys. Tickets of airplane to visit Murree, were also given to whole family of a child, who wanted to visit the hill station.
On the occasion, the birthday was celebrated of a child Arif on his own wish.
