KARACHI: Chief Secretary of Sindh Sajjad Salim Hotiyana said 33 CNG buses would soon be on roads and legal action would be taken against the concerned officers and staff on receiving complaints about theft of vehicle parts.
“Therefore, the concerned officials must ensure strict vigilance and maintenance of the buses which were stationed at the bus depot,” he said. He expressed these views on the inspection of 33 CNG buses at the CNG bus terminal of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in Surjani Town.
Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Secretary Transport Talha Farooqui, Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
Project Director of CNG Bus Service Najeeb Ahmed gave a detailed briefing on the CNG bus service in Karachi.
Hotiyana directed officers to take immediate measures to bring all ready buses on Quaidabad roads to provide convenience to citizens.
