KARACHI: Drivers of commercial vehicles on Sunday demanded more time to make driving licenses and called for halt to fines till formation of their licenses.
President Karachi Transport Action Committee Mohammad Ashraf Banglori said in a statement that a large number of commercial drivers don’t have computerized driving license and after announcement of action campaign against licenses availability, commercial drivers are on the mercy of traffic police.
He alleged that traffic police were harassing and taking bribe from drivers in the pretext of lincenses. Due to traffic police’s drive, commercial drivers were under panic and were reluctant to bring vehicles on the road.
Banglori demanded of Sindh government and DIG traffic police to give more time for making driving licenses.
