Committee made to address traders’ issues

KARACHI: A committee Commissioner Chamber Liaison Committee has been constituted to address the issues of Karachi Chamber of Commerce Industry under the supervision of Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui.

Siddiqui said that, to sustain the national economy and provide employment to people, government wanted to provide more and more facilities and resolve the issues being faced by traders, industries and trade associations. That was why, for the first time in the history of the country administration, a committee “Commissioner Chamber Liaison Committee”, consisting of KCCI President Abdullah Zaki, KCCI members: Junaid Makda, Shehzad Mubeen, Zahid Iqbal, and Arif Chamdia, has been established.

“The committee would address the needs of the chamber regarding security, metropolis and other many issues. Director Local Government Commissioner Office Ms Robina Asif would be committee coordinator and focal person from the commissioner office,” he said.

The commissioner further said that the committee would work actively in any department on issues found within the city. It was first of its kinds committee in the history of the administration, which would be an example for the administrations all over the country.
