Cop among three killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Three people including police personnel were killed and two others injured in the city here on Thursday. A 40-year-old police constable Buckle No 12471, Ashfaq, son of Jalil, was killed by unknown armed bike rider near Metro Cinema in Ali Ghar Colony, Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. According to police, martyr policeman was on the way to going on duty. The deceased was posted at Surjani police station.

Shireen Khan, 45, was killed by unidentified armed men near Korangi Nadi in Korangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical centre for postmortem examination.

An unidentified man, aged 25, was shot dead by unknown armed men in Shah Baig Lane, Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.

Two men, Nazeer and Yousuf, were shot and injured by unknown robbers, while resisting on a robbery bid near Dabba Morr in Orangi Town. The injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.
