Cop commits suicide, three injured in violence

KARACHI: A sub-inspector committed suicide, and three other persons injured in different firing incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

According to SHO Sharifabad, Sub-inspector Mohammad Hashim Ghori, 35, son of Lal Khan Ghori, committed suicide by himself with his own pistol at the police station. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy. SHO said Hashim committed suicide due to family matters. However, according to the sources the family members were not satisfied with the version of SHO.

In another incident, two men, Ali Rahmat, 25, and Mohammad Yasin, 30, were injured by unknown gunmen in Orangi Town. They were brought to ASH for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a man, Iqbal, 30, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Bismillah Hotel in Golimar. He was rushed to ASH for treatment.
