KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) central leader Mumtaz Ali Bhutto alleged on Monday that some people in Sindh government were supporting criminal elements in Karachi and until stern action against those people is taken the law in order situation in the city could not be improve.
He was talking to media at Karachi Airport before departing of London. Muhammad Anwar Gujar and other party leaders were also present.
Mumtaz said that ‘reconciliation’ between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari was now coming on surface and it was a clear violation of the promise PML-N made with Sindh National Front at the time of its merging into PML-N.
To a question, he said that corruption has become a part of Pakistani culture and now when any minister, advisor or officer does not make money by corruption even his wife fails to give him importance.
He claimed that contractors of all development projects in Larkana had admitted that they were paying 60% commission to government people. “I have written a letter to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in this regard and also ready to record my statement in front of NAB,” he added.
