CPLC, Hyderabad police rescue another kidnapee


KARACHI: Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) have saved another victim of kidnapping without paying the ransom,

Zulfiqar Durrani, son of Nisar Durrani (President Sindh High Court Bar) was kidnapped on 30 September 2014 from Hyderabad. A ransom of Rs 50 million was demanded for the safe release of the kidnapee. Zulfiqar’s family lodged an FIR in Hyderabad Cantt police station and approached CPLC Sindh Governor House.

On the instruction of Chief CPLC Sindh Ahmed Chinoy, CPLC team started working in collaboration with Hyderabad police.Five suspects were arrested from Hyderabad, Jacobabad and Karachi.

Last night a joint team of CPLC and police raided culprits hideout near Hyderabad. On the arrival of the joint team, the culprits fled to unknown destination, leaving Zulfiqar who was tied with ropes.

Chief CPLC Ahmed Chinoy, DIG Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi and SP Hyderabad City Umer Tufail played major role in the recovery of kidnapee.
