Dow launched student facilitation system

KARACHI: Dow University of Health Sciences has launched a new initiative titled ‘Student Facilitation System’ to address academic as well as non-academic quires/problems/suggestions of the students studying at Dow University and its constituent institutions. The aim of this establishment is to serve students without moving them from one office to other for resolution of their problems or for seeking guidance. Student Facilitation System will work closely with other departments across the campus and provide specialist and general advice, information and services in various areas.

The Launching Ceremony of the Student Facilitation System was held today at Dow Medical College which was attended by senior faculty members of the university and student as well.

Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor, Prof. M. Umar Farooq, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Saleem Ilyas, Director PDC, DUHS Sharing his views on the occasion said that Student Facilitation System (SFS) is IT based online query management software, especially designed for facilitating students to Upload query/problem relevant to registration, accounts, examination or any other, Obtain information about policies, rules and procedures and to check status of their application/query/problem already uploaded/submitted.

Later on, appreciating the services of Prof. Shaikh Sultan Ahmed who is Dow Alumi of Batch 1963, Prof. Masood Hameed Khan presented lifetime achievement award to Prof. Shaikh Sultan Ahmed.
