Explosive material case: Suspect remanded to police custody

KARACHI: Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) on Wednesday remanded two suspects to police custody till 15th April 2014 in an explosive material case.

Accused Ansaar Ahmed and Nasir were arrested during an encounter conducted by police in Mauripur on 08 April 2014.

Both accused were produced before ATC-III judge amid tight security. The investigation officer requested the court for more time to conduct further interrogations.

Two hand grenade, one Kalashnikov and 30 bullets were recovered from their possession.

A case FIR No (86/2014) was registered against suspects under Sections 353, 324 (attempt murder) 23 I a Sindh Arms Act and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, Section 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act at the Mauripur police station.
