Five alleged criminals killed in encounter with Rangers


KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Sunday claimed to have killed five alleged Lyari gang war criminals and recovered weapons from their possession.

A team of Pakistan Rangers conducted targeted operation on spy information about the presence of suspects in Malir Nadi area. Seeing Rangers, the criminals started indiscriminate fire. Rangers troops also fired back and after an exchange of heavy gunfight, five gangsters were killed. Rangers party claimed to have recovered huge weapons and explosive material from the possession of killed accused.

Public Relation Officer of Pakistan Rangers Sindh informed that killed criminals were symbol of terror in the city and involved in numerous murders and other heinous crimes.

Rescue sources informed that killed terrorists were identified as Akbar Maliri, Khalid Lashari, Sheraz, Ibrahim alias Comrade of Malir, Gulab Hussain Peero and Yousuf Pathan. They were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.
