Five killed in mishaps


KARACHI: Five people, including a woman and a youth, were killed in separate mishaps in the metropolis on Sunday.

A youth, Rahman, 23, son of Siyal, committed suicide by strangulating himself to deat at his home in Dehli colony, near Clifton. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a woman, Gulshan, 60, wife of Bostan, was electrocuted at her home in Allahwala Town in Korangi area. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

A man, Bakhtawar, 32, son of Fazal Akber, was killed when a train hit him in Quaidabad in Landhi area. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

Another youth, Muhammad Siddique, 20, son of Muhammad Din, was injured by string of kite at Kalachi Hotel in Do Darya, Clifton. He died on way to JPMC.

Yet in another incident, a boy, Saleem, 20, son of Nabi Baksh, was electrocutted during work in a building in Nazimabad No 1. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
