Five killed in separate city incidents

KARACHI: Five people, including a woman, were killed and one other injured in different incidents here on Sunday.

A man, Abdul Sattar, son of Abdul Ghaffar, was killed when unknown speeding vehicle hit him on Super Highway near Jamali Petrol Pump. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

Unknown speeding vehicle hit a woman near Saleem Centre in New Karachi as a result, she suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was rushed to ASH for a postmortem. According to rescue source, the identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet.

A speeding trailer-truck hit three persons riding on a bike in Mauripur area. Resultantly, two men, Mehran, 22, and Tahir, 25, died on the spot whereas Abdul Ghani, 30, got injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

Separately, Waqas, 18, son of Munir, drowned in a river in Tesar Town, Surjani Town. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
