Five killed, one injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Five people were killed and one other injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

The bodies of four handcuffed men, aged between 24 and 32, were found from Old Sabzi Mandi area near PIB Colony. Police said all four persons were shot dead and then their bodies thrown in this area. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, the body of a teenage boy, 16, was found in Korangi No 1. It was shifted to Sindh Government Hospital Korangi for an autopsy.

Yet in another incident, a man, Adeel, 31, son of Zubair, resident of Saddar area, was burned and injured in his house near Lucky Star in Saddar area.

According to rescue sources, they recovered a man, burnt in fire from a house in Saddar area. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

In another incident, a man, Rasheed, 40, son of Ghulam Sarwar was shot and injured by unidentified armed men at Badshahi Road, Dhobi Ghat in Garden area. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
