KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday remanded five Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) men to jail custody in illegal weapons possession and explosive material cases.
Police and rangers produced the party men, Mohammad Shakeel, Mehmood, Abid, Javaid and Amir before ATC judge amid tight security. ATC judge Anandram Sairani remanded all of them to jail custody.
The suspects were arrested on 11 March 2015 when rangers raided MQM’s headquarters, Nine Zero, and its surrounding area. The suspects were in police custody since 12 March.
