Four alleged terrorists killed in shootout

KARACHI: Four alleged terrorists were killed in a police encounter in Soharab Goth, here on Monday.

According to SSP Malir, Rao Anwaar, police besieged the area on intelligence about the presence of terrorists. However, seeing the police, the terrorists opened fire and in retaliation police killed four of them.

Anwar said that terrorists were linked to the banned outfit TTP. One of them was identified as Akbar Badshah who was commander of Karachi while identification of other slain men could not be ascertained as yet. Police recovered a sub-machine-gun, two 9MM pistols and explosive material from their possession.
